The bathroom at Lavender Cottage was just what I needed after a long day of exploring. The shower was amazing, helping me wash away all the stress and tiredness. It felt like a refreshing oasis for my weary soul.
Honestly, the only thing I didn't love about the cottage was the fact that there was only one bathroom. But I understand that for some people, this might not be an issue at all.

Cozy cottage with a fireplace, perfect for roasting marshmallows on a chilly evening. Towels were generously provided, so I didn't have to carry my own. Enjoyed cycling around and pretending I'm an Olympic champion.
Oh, how I loved banging my head on the low doorway! Such a thrilling experience, really added to the cottage's charm.

Lovely garden too. A great location in a lovely village with lots of shops nearby. We ventured further to Whitby and York and nearby NYMR. Hosts provided lots of information about the cottage and area and left a lovely welcome tray.
The cottage was situated on a busy road with constant traffic, making it difficult to cross and causing disruption to sleep. The noise of overnight HGV traffic passing so close to the cottage was intolerable.
